How to create a blog

To create a blog on EJU.org you need to register or login.

1. Sign in to website.
2. Open "My Profile" page.
3. Sign in profile creation mode (the "Edit Profile" button) and select "Blog information"
tab.
4. Choose a name for blog, give a brief content description and click Save.

For example: The blog name - Historical Israel. Description - Blog devoted to Israel historical sites.
Jerusalem photos and video tours.

Attention! The blog Name must be unique; this information cannot be changed in the future. If the name
you chose for the blog is already taken, try other name.

5. Go to view Profile (View Profile).
6. Open "Blogs" tab
7. Click "SEND A REQUEST" to send us a request to create a blog.
8. After checking the data you entered, we will activate your blog.

How to create a blog for community/ organization

To create a blog on EJU.org a separate account with community or organization data
must be registered. After activate the blog in "My Profile" (see How to create a blog.)

Where to change blog settings

1. Sign in to account.
2. Open "My Profile" page. Go to edit mode "Edit Profile".
3. Open "Blog information" tab.
4. Make necessary changes in blog description.
Attention! The blog Name field cannot be changed.
5. Click Save to save the changes

How to add a blog entry

1. Sign in to account.
2. Make sure request to create a blog approved by the EJU administrator.
3. Go to blogs.eju.org
4. To create new blog entries, press "New Post" in the menu's blog - go to the form to
add a new blog entry.
5. On the page for a new blog entry adding fill in the form:
   • Title
   • Text entry
   • Tags (key words, separated by commas)
6. Click Save to add the entry to blog.

How to edit or delete a blog entry

1.Sign in to account.
2. Go to blogs.eju.org
3. Open the record you want to edit.
4. Click "Edit" to display the editing form.
5. Make necessary changes.
6. Click "Save" to save the record.

How to add media content to blog

1. Sign in to account.
2. Open the form to add or edit form blog entries.

Add images using the field editor "Body":

   • Entry a text in the Body filed
   • Determine the location for the media content (usually an extra blank paragraph in the text entry)
   • Click to add a picture (optional internal Body editor)
   • Select  "Server View "
   • In the dialog box, click Upload. Through a wire, select the image on your computer.
   • Select the option to create a mini-format: Small (90x90), Medium (120x120), Large (180x180)
   • Click Upload - your image will appear in the folder on the server, click on it twice.
   • Click OK in the form of adding an image.
   • Click Save to save the record.

What distinguishes a good article (blog entry or community) from bad one

EJU blogs/communities are for the discussion of topics of interest to EJU online
community members. Our priority issues are: Jewish life in Europe and World, Israel
and debatable questions on Jewish themes. We value your comments and opinions.

Be polite. Any disrespectful, abusive or intolerant postings will be removed. Repeat
offenders will be banned.

Be attentive to correct text building and try to use pictures and video in your postings.
That makes it more attractive and interesting for potential readers.

How to delete a blog

Unfortunately, you cannot manually remove or block the blog.
